Various tasks require attention by all members of the ‘tribe’ to make a camp experience successful. This would include water collection, chopping firewood, lighting fires, food preparation and harvesting of natural materials.
Cooking takes place over a fire-pit, or using woodstoves and a clay oven. There is a state-of-the-art compost toilet, washing-up area and a native crafts zone.
The camp is dominated by the enigmatic 30’ Lodge Pole, room enough inside for 30 people! There are three comfortable 18’ sleeping tipis and a couple of smaller tipis for 1 or 2 people. All have wooden decks and rugs inside.
The Wiston Lodge Tipi camp welcomes everyone. Find out what it’s like to live closer to nature – a profound experience that may even become a way of life.
