This was an international intercultural youth exchange between a group of young adults from Cumbernauld YMCA-YWCA and a group of foreign young adults from Brest in Belarus.
The six night residential trip involved exchanging cultural experiences, outdoor activities to build on communication, team building and experiential learning. During the programme there was a visit to Stirling Castle and Wallace Monument, Scottish Themed night during which the Belarusians were treated to a traditional piper, Fergeaus Thomson a S5 pupil at Biggar High School, to pipe them in for a traditional Scottish meal of haggis, neeps and tatties followed by a Ceilidh. In return the Belarusians cooked a traditional meal from Belarus of TBA. A great time was had by all!
