Wiston Lodge is a place where guests are able to develop personal, social and work skills. We can design and supply programmes tailored to suit your group's needs, or provide the venue for your own programmes. We welcome residential and day visits, during the week and at weekends.

Our staff work hard to provide everyone with a friendly welcome and a safe, comfortable stay. We take great pride in providing homemade food that delights all our guests. We cater for all dietary requirements, from Halal to coelics.

So have a look around our website and get in touch with us to discuss your visit!

More about the work we do

Experiential learning – learning by doing – is key to the Wiston Lodge approach. We want our guests to actively participate in the learning process, and to have fun doing so! Using outdoor adventure, environmental education, music and arts, we cover topics such as communication, trust, self-esteem and employability.

More about Wiston Lodge

Wiston Lodge is a former Victorian Hunting Lodge built in the 1850s. We are located near Lanark in Scotland, an hour from both Glasgow and Edinburgh and 10 minutes from the M74 (J13). Yet the house and grounds offer a remote rural experience, far from any shops and other distractions.

There are a number of rooms suitable for group work, open fires to sit round, and a large games hall. Outside, the 52-acre estate is a rich mixture of woodlands, team-building activities, gardens and a campsite.

Wiston Lodge Mission Statement

Providing physical, mental and spiritual challenge in a safe and sheltered residential environment for all users, but especially young people who are vulnerable and at risk;  to enable the development of respect for oneself, others and for the environment and to encourage lifestyles which are simple, nonviolent and free from destructive dependencies.
